Music therapy is said to help people with mental health problems by decreasing inattention, reducing negative mood and promoting reading and comprehension. Music is very structured, and this appeals strongly to the ADHD and autistic mind. The beats and rhythms also have specific structures, which can help with focus. Music therapy can bolster attention and focus, reduce hyperactivity, and strengthen social skills.
